Ha nice one.

I am reallylookin forward to The New Black...apparently the band have ditched their wall of sound approach which makes me worry a bit :erk:

It's ok - I bought it yesterday and listened to it once through. Some songs are memorable, some songs remind me of The Devin Townsend Band, and others seem like filler songs. The New Black doesn't touch Alien, but maybe I'll feel better about after a few more listens.

btw Alien is pretty shitty compared to this new one. City is really the only SYL album someone needs to own though, unless you're a big fan.

I've heard and I really like it. It's different than their other albums which is always good. Almost Again, Wrong Side, You Suck, Anti-Product, and The New Black are all good tunes.

I'm going to try and find the digipak this weekend with The Long Pig and C:enter:###.

I've had it for a few weeks and I'm not at all impressed by it. All the SYL silliness on other albums seems fun, but on this one it's more annoying. And it doesn't in any way crush like bits of Alien - it's a pity.

Ok, I've been REALLY looking forward to 'The New Black'. I loved 'Alien', not really because of the humour aspect at all, but because parts of it were genuinely different, and totally crushed.

Thus far, from the new record, I have heard 'Wrong Side' and 'You Suck'. All I can say is... those had BETTER be the weakest tracks on there... :erk:

Maybe it will be a grower...
