Strings\Scale\Tune

.10 - .52 + .70 on a 27" sevenstring tuned ADGCFAD
.11-.52 on a 25.5" 6-string tuned DGCFAD

i've tried a million and one different types of strings and GHS boomer seem to last the longest/have the best tone, in my opinion. i use 10-52 tuned down to CGCFAD aka drop C

I've always used 10-46 in E, so I've used that as my standard tension guide, and used an online tension calculator to make sure I'm within .2lbs or so of it, and then order a custom set of strings in bulk from JustStrings.com.

Currently, I have 12-56's on a 24.75" scale axe, and 11-52's on a 25.5" scale axe, both in D.

Same here on all points... but I have been very impressed with the DR Dimebag 10-52 set.

I near religiously use Thomastik Infeld Powerbright Heavy Bottoms.

As well as Pyramids on occasion.

My gauges are all over, depending on what Im tracking for, and with either my 25.5 ESP Custom, or 24.75 LP Custom.

USUALLY however they're 10-50 or so on the LP, and 11 or 12 - 54 or 56 for the ESP, which is -always- in C.
