Students fined

I totally in favor of free downloading for evaluation purposes (more with today overpriced CDs). But I'm against dowloading illegaly to AVOID purchasing the album or single.

"Obviously I knew it was illegal, but no one got in trouble for it," Barg said.

That says a lot about the IQ of some people :Smug: But she's right I'm going to kill idiots in concerts, it's probably illegal but no one got in trouble for it

NP: Dream Theater - 'In The Presence Of Enemies pt.2'

why is it though that the people downloading it get charged but no one seems to mention the service that puts the music on the site to be able to download it. crazy stuff this riaa is doing these days.

That's because no music downloading service does that, it's the other users people download their music from. The file sharing program (like Soulseek) is just the medium used. Now everyone knows such programs are used almost exclusively to share copyrighted material but suing the program makers would be like suing cd-r manufacturers.

There's just no way RIAA or anyone else can stop internet piracy, the bottom line is that if you can transfer data you can transfer illegal mp3s.
