Has anyone tried this? Does it do the same great job for cheap as the mics do?
I'm thinking of picking up a mic pre but i'm on a very VERY limited budget so this is basically perfect if it's any good

i own a studio projects vtb1-v series preamp and i think it is really good. i think they go for $99.00usd now, which is a steal. i doubt you can get a better sounding preamp for the money. i think they make really good quaulity stuff from what ive experienced and read. check it out and see how it sounds.
