For nearly seven years it seemed as if Orphaned Land is but a Ghost band.
I took one huge Dose of Fait to get this group on track, without it, all will be useless.

These days, this faith have opened the doors of Zaza studio in israel, and under the baton of producer Simon Weinstock - an israeli producer who workes in a company thats related with names such as Pearl Jam (on Ten album) and DREAM THEATRE, and personally worked with DAVID BOWIE, the mission, and legendary rock artist Robert Plant !!

(more news to follow)

"And it came to pass after the seven days that the water of the flood came upon the earth."
Genesis, chapter VII

The band reached ZAZA studios. No one ever thought that there's such High standard recording venue. This place has Showers, tennis court (!!!) a large garden (!!!) and a swimming pool (!!!!!!!!!!!) The place is like a bloody vacation villege !!

Actually, it's the third day the band are working there, but thats for technical work - mostly for installing and setting the drums set.

At the first session day, which lasted no less then TEN HOURS (!) the group felt satisfaction with the product. Simon, OL's producer reveals modesty and excellency in a level yet to be known to the band.. The band did thought of recording the Mabool album in Europe, but luckily they found Simon, which is both israeli and the right person for the mission. It's the right choise. the band's only true inspiration and conditions for creation must come out of home. The whole creation is completly White & Blue !
Another cool thing about Simon - he also worked with STING, BLUR & A-HA
(niiiiiiiiiice)

The band memvers are finishing the drums sesisons these moments!
The bass sessions are now at it`s peak, working on the album`s title song, even tho the members are wandering like Zombies round the studio, due to severe lack of sleep...o_O

14 HOURS!!!!
YES!
The last recording day lasted 14 hours!!!
About 90% of the Rythem section is done (thay incl.Bass and Percussions.) The drummer played on instruments such as Darbukkas, Dumbak, metal garbage can and a MATCHBOX!!! Other percussions to follow - Frame and Zarb (i have no idea what these are). Brilliant!

The album is built as a puzzle, a story told in a non-consistent musical structure. The material is hard. It opens with one guitar riff and ends with a whole different sound. Highly complex creation but thats Orphaned Land now!

Uri played at least 11 hours at that session, you all should`ve seen him crash on the couch with a great feeling of satisfaction...
The band felt like they`ve been away from home for at least a couple of weeks!! Tomorrow will be a day off, just for making sure they`ll stay sane:p

The album will be approximately 65-70 minutes long.
