Studio Speakers

Hi guys!

A friend of mine is looking for studio speakers in the price range of 500 Euro / 600-700 US$. Since I won't be upgrading my speakers in a while, I am totally out of the loop of what is good and new at the moment. So if any of you has any advice for me/him, it'd be really appreciated.

Oh, and of course he's going to listen to the speakers before buying them, it's just that he needs to know what is worth checking out ...

For under $600, I bought the KRK RP5 pair along with a KRK RP10 sub. I've had them for almost a year and I'm still really happy with the setup. I'm not sure how they would rank for accuracy, but they seem to be getting good reviews. I'm a newcomer to recording so my opinion might not be worth much, but I figured this might be a good option to check out considering the price range.
