Stuff from my solo project.

Snare and vocals sound cool. I think the kick and the spooky background vocals should be quite a bit higher in the mix and the guitars could use some additional low end (they sound a bit too thin at the moment). If it clashes with the bass, maybe turn that down a bit. In addition I think you could turn the main vocal down a bit and the guitars up a bit. In the blast part at the end the hats sound a little too thin to me, would sound better if these had fuller and more aggressive sound. The bass in that part is also a bit too nice in my opinion would sound better if it would play more and sound meaner (adding some extra top end distortion and maybe playing some faster and/or melodic stuff would seem a good idea here). Music is very nice btw, like it a lot.

Noted! :)
The hats are always a hard issue when it comes to EZD :/
Maby turn down the bass a little bit and turn up the kick?

Pretty funny though that I have the vox so high since it's me singing and I'm kinda shy about it, so one would think that I'd put it low. :P

Also, is the low-end really massive for you? I only have my hifispeakers for monitoring, so the mix isn't that perfect, but it works for a rough mix.

Yeah I've had no success with getting really nice sounds out of cymbals and high hat with EZD either. The bass is pretty loud so if you need to turn it down a bit to get the kick up and add some extra low end to the guitars, that wouldn't be too much of problem. I wouldn't consider the low end to be massive, more kick drum and low end on the guitars would definetely improve things. If you think the bass doesn't cut through enough after changing this maybe add some more high mids to it. Note I'm listening in a crap room on hifi speakers at the moment so my perception might not be spot on.

No reason to be shy about the vocals they sound very good for this style of music.

Same except for the following :

-I don't think the hi hat sounds too thin on the final blast beat part.

Vocals have a bit too much effects or something on them, but maybe it's something you're after i don't know.

Could just be that I'm not listening very loud. I'm not smart/experienced enough to tell you anything helpful about the mix but it just seemed like there wasn't much going on below 100hz. Not like a Bulb mix anyway but then, he's not really human so it doesn't really count. I still dig your tune regardless. It sounds better than anything I've done yet. Gotta keep that in mind when you hear an opinion... consider the source.

I just listened again... I'll try to better describe what I hear. First, I failed to realize that this was a black metal track so low-end is kinda not required. The kick has a nice click/attack but no real punch. The bass is kinda the same. I can hear it, on the clean break it seemed more prominent of course. Maybe it just sounds quiet to me because you're not tuned down to A and blasting it. Sounds like you're playing in/on/above E on a four string bass. Again, just my mildly educated opinion. I'll quantify that by adding that I've never liked Black Metal much, trvv as it is. I don't get the tremolo picking of EVERYTHING and the lack of any real low-end. I guess I'm more of a Heartwork/Fear, Emptiness, Despair kinda guy...

Well actually I was looking for the lew-end kick/bass feel of the latest shining release. So the kick and bass not being as heavy and distinct is bad for my aim :P I am however afraid of the low end since my listening setup sucks and I've always put out stuff that was too heavy on the low end. The guitars are in Eb but the bass is tuned as a 5-string and then down a half step, Bb. But it's all good to hear, no matter if it's good or bad. I have a good list to check now when I'm doing the "real" mix :) Need to re-record the bass/drums first though.
