Sturgis Snare 1 Hidden 4Z

Listen for the small amount of echo blended with the snare.
If you own joeys snare 1 you can do this.
Download We Have Fallen buy Miss May I.
Then chop up the very beginning reverse snare.
Then reverse it. You will have a 100% wet snare sound.
Blend that with your snare 1 about 15%.
Or send it through a reverb chain and turn it up for a sweet echo effect.

nice sounds sweet thanks for the awesome tip.

EDIT: Just wondering if you could share how you did that reverse swell kinda effect at 0:05?

isn't it most likely joey made that by reversing the snare he had (snare 1) then applying a 100% wet reverb, reversing that then cutting it in the middle. then you just reversed that?

i've been doing this for a while now it works the same with a straight forward reverb bus set to 100 wet just play with the parameters until the decay sits right.

i've always wondered too, is it technically legal to cut parts from songs and reuse them, even if it is just a 1 second long snare?

Just take the begining of that miss may I song mentioned above and
Make a copy of it and just string the two together so it goes woooosh.

I don't even know. Just thought it was clever since I had the miss may I snare
Why not blend it with it's matching z4 sample in stead of making a ghetto version.

I hear a guitar fading in under that snare sample, so its useless anyway!
