Sub kick

^ And from what I've heard a few times, home made sub kicks usually deliver even more than the typical offerings by Yamaha, for example.

Well, I'm using an 8" driver so the frequency bump compared to the subkick is a little lower.

But after hearing a sample of each I don't think the subkick is that much nicer (other than the stand and mounting setup that is nice) that a home made one if you use a good speaker.

I'm using a m audio BX8a driver and mounted it on a snare stand. Works awesome.
