I loved it and I was expecting NOTHING but crap. The visuals were amazing and the chicks were definitely hot. My only complaint was the shift at the beginning without any warning or lead in. One moment you are understanding everything and then the next moment you are like, "What the fuck is going on now?" Took me a little bit to understand that. Once I did, I really started to enjoy it.

i thought it was great. it does have good visuals & action sequences (of course it's directed by Zack Snyder, so that's what you'd expect from him). and hot chicks with assault rifles; what could be more badass than that?

Overall, I liked the movie though I expected it to be just a tad bit deeper, which is where my problem is with the film.
It seemed like all of the story was there but it was edited in a funky way. I don't know if it was Snyder's idea or not but they glossed over a few things which would have helped you keep track of which fantasy world you were in and how all the worlds were intertwined.
I do suspect we will be seeing a directors cut release with added footage that would help tie things together.

Didn't you feel that you were watching a vapid mess of CGI traipse across the screen for the duration? Snyder has made movies with style and substance before, and this one has none of the latter and the tiniest little smattering of the former.
It's like they gave a kid every colour of paint known to man and a canvas the size of a wall and told him to go apeshit. Snyder basically splurged a movie out without any thought to anything else other than the visuals, which would be fine if it's a painting, but it's not.

Sucker Punch was 2 hours of sensory overload in place of an actual movie. Whoever cut the music into that film should be held down and tortured with a power drill.

Hmmm, so my initial thoughts were confirmed. Snyder says much was cut in order to meet the PG-13 rating the studio wanted and that there will be a directors cut released to DVD/Blu-ray.
I still enjoyed the movie despite the fact that I did feel much of the actual story was cut out. the sequences themselves were pretty cool, just not inserted into the film as a whole properly.
Perhaps what was missing for me was, I KNEW what was happening in the fantasy world was somehow impacting the real world, but they never tied it together properly in between the vignettes.
They just said at the end "oh, this, this and this happened".
Oh, and Carla Cugino makes my pants tight.

Not quite sure what happened with this movie. I was actually pretty hyped up to see it over the past few months... holy fuck was I let down. Shit reminds me of the 3rd Matrix film, had all the elements to be a good movie but completely failed in the delivery of these elements.
