im about to acquire a warehouse/factory type of building (steel body), just wondering what kind of crap i'll be getting into here. the floor is cement, and i've yet to go visit the inside, but the ouside is very nice and its been recently refinished and revamped, the interior is brand new.
about 5,000 square feet. wish i could really do it justice and do it the right way, but i will most likely have to settle for a lot less than expected; ie: im probably not gonna be able to afford building the floating floors and floating rooms and all of that. im lucky to even get the building.
the owner says he will up the rent a little to recoup on major changes to the building that i ask for. this is a benefit to me because the changes will happen now, and i will gently pay for them over time.
just wondering what will be necessary in this type of situation. i plan to do a lot of live tracking of the whole band, and we're doing some indie label projects, and lengthy album production.
