Yo

For a few years I've been into Journey, then recently Styx, and now even more recently REO Speedwagon (I can't help but play "The Hits" two or three times a day at work). My question - what bands should I look into next which are of a similar quality and style?

Lots of love,

Spiff

Move onto some Treat, Bad Habit, Stage Dolls, Crown Of Thorns, Harem Scarem, Talisman, FM, Fair Warning, TNT, Aviator, etc.

Gore - I thought about Boston but I can't stand that one song of theirs that I know, More Than a Feeling, so I won't bother with them.

Trix - got a Talisman CD the other day, Cats & Dogs. Perhaps one of the best CDs I've ever heard. :headbang:

Ceydn - was thinking about Blue Oyster Cult, actually. Hmm.

I have a Kansas CD already. Good stuff. I have a Montrose CD already. Top stuff. Don't have any Bad English yet (I always get them confused with Bad Company and end up listening to Bad Company samples and remain unimpressed... might go listen to some Bad English samples then). Bought a Loverboy CD last week. Great stuff. Thought about Toto.

I can't get over how great REO Speedwagon is. Awesome stuff! :headbang: It's certainly a case of owning a CD for ages and then popping it back into the CD player after a long sabbatical and discovering how much it rules.

Good work with the Talisman CD! There's a band that never seems to put a foot wrong! Jeff Scott Soto rocks! The debut is their best I think but everything I have heard by them is AWESOME! Great band!

Pick up some Bad English. Here's what ya do... go around to HMVs or Sanitys or whatever the mainstream chart stores are. You know how out the front they always have $5-10 CD bins with big red SALE signs? The first Bad English album is ALWAYS in there, usually for about $4.99. Can't go wrong. With killer power ballads like When I See You Smile, Price Of Love and Possession, fun sleazy melodic rockers like Heaven Is A Four Letter Word and Best Of What I Got, and excellent AOR tracks like Tough Times Don't Last (one of my fave songs ever!), you can't go wrong!
