I'm not really into deathcore but a friend of mine recommends I give them a try.


What do you guys think of this band?

What deathcore bands are worth getting into?

I mean the only one I really listen to is Despised Icon and they seem more metalcore to me.

The Red Chord aren't bad, I can cope with them and I despise virtually all deathcore.

The Red Chord rocks tits... although I've only really heard Clients.

Animosity isn't that bad either.

All in all though, I only really listen to 2-3 deathcore bands.

It's absolutely horrible that these fucks recieved the glory of opening up for carcass.

I had to see them live once too, they opened for Nile.

It sucks that promoters feel the need to bring along metalcore/deathcore bands along on these tours to sell tickets.

Well it works, the Nile show I went to was infested with scenefags who left as soon as Nile started playing.

yea i hesitated to mention this. Don't get me wrong i still enjoy a few bands of these genres, Unearth, All Shall Perish, Maroon etc. but far and few between.

What deathcore bands are worth getting into?

Despised Icon really pretty much started this as far as I can tell, but they're awesome at it anyway, and they'll only be getting better. The first All Shall Perish is good deathcore also. I don't really listen to the genre much, I'm more of a "normal" metalcore guy but there are a few others bands I can't think of that are good enough.

I really hate the whole "We're gangsta AND we're more metal than you!" attitude that seems prevalent through this whole scene.
