The pain for pleasure stuff is meant to be a tribute to maiden essentially, sometimes they get it right (pain for pleasure) sometimes they get it wrong (reign in pain) the vocal harmonies and guitar harmonies were wrong on that one. But WWVII parts 1 n 2 on the latest album is a pretty good tallica/metal tribute.

i never took the time to listen to Sum 41.

as for what i have heard on the radio, i sorta see it...only a more punk version of Maiden.
