I went to the show at Club Citta on Sunday and I was disappointed with the sound of Testament.

My review;

Forbidden: excellent sound and playing. Best sound of all the bands.

Voivod: I am Canadian, but I know only one song Voivod sang. Sound was not good. I have know idea what the singer was singing. I think he was drunk? Not a fan.

Testament: Sound was awful in my opinion. I couldn't tell what they were playing too much bass. The mixing was awful, I moved aroud in the club to different areas but the sound didn't change for the better and I was at the back off the club near the mixing board. I went to to guy that was mixing and pointed at him and held my nose. I am very disapointed in the performance especially when the ticket cost $90 or so. I am a fan of Testament I have liked they since I was a teenager and I think their new cd is awesome. I have read reviews of other shows and I see what they are saying about the sound.

we even had a special thread here about their sound problems. It's a pity that such a great band cannot have a decent live sound (and when they do occasionally- they really deliver, too bad some can't experience that).

oh, was the setlist the same as the night before?
