Sorry, too questions. Hope it can be answered...

Hey Mr. Swano, do you know what kind of drum machine did Skogsberg use in recordings like Clandestine, Kahrelian Istmus, An Evil Shade of grey, etc..?
Or could you tell me if you have used drum machines with similar results in the 90's and what kind?

What kind of samples did you use in Entrails - Tales from the morgue? Are the same than used in the 90's? Sounds really good.

What kind of reverb is used in the snare? In the quieter parts it can be heard a lot and sounds really good. It has a big tail. But I don't know how to achieve it.

Thanks man!

Dan surely knows better but I think I heard it could be an Alesis D4 drum module.

Humm... I have d4 samples, they sound really good but I think they are not the same.

Probably it's a well keep secret by the producers. Let's see if I get an answer or not :tickled:

Thanks anyway unicorn ;)

Both "Left Hand Path" and "Clandestine" featured Nicke playing "V-drums"--electronic drums (with sensors instead of real tom-toms and bass-drums). The only "real" part of the drum set (apparently) was the snare. Weird.

Fascinating!!! F'n electronic drums (U have a source? I'd love to read up on that!). Makes sense though. I don't think The actual Roland "V-Drums" existed back then, but electronic drums sure did. Isn't that how Blessed are the Sick was done? Sounds like it...

I think the case was that the Studio were too small to fit Nickes kit so had to use electronic toms and bass drum together with a real snare and cymbals.
If I remember correctly I read about it in Swedish Death Metal (great book by the way), I'll try to look through it to see if I can find that specific quote.
