super noob question about replacing sound

alright im new to this whole thing where u replace for example drum tracks with samples? can someone please explain this to me? how it works, how the hell those trigger things work, how u do it, what program or plug in or w/e..im using pro tools 7 incase that helps..

Do you own any plugins that can handle that? Drumagog, aptrigga, or the audio suite plugin Sound Replacer?

oh..so is that what sound replacer does? cus i have that..haha
