Is there any way to make the toms in Superior Drummer sound more full? Even when messing with EQ settings I can never get them to sound big. They always have that thin "Thwacky" sound.

I hope that makes sense to someone out there...

:loco:

Which drums are you using? I always thought the stock Avatar toms were fucking amazing...

I'm using DKFH. After listening to some clips of the SS stuff I noticed the DKFH toms are seriously thin sounding.

Ha ha oh shit. Well there's your problem. I never liked the DKFH that much. If you have SUPERIOR and not just ez drummer, use the standard toms dude!

Also just get Metal Machine while you're at it. It's not too expensive.

i've got superior and metal machine. I'm still puzzled between which toms are best. I mean metal machine toms sound cool but hard to mix with that reverb already on. but you can do whatever you want with the avatar kit

From memory isn't the reverb and room on their own faders? Just pull them down!

What do you guys do in terms of processing for the Avatar toms? Anything other than EQ and compression?

I have a hard time getting them to sound fat too.

I usually just use them as they are and because i mainly work with real drums i usually turn down the DFHS overhead microphones a bit and also turn down the ambience microphones. Little or no eq, and just a touch of some SSL compression to make them a bit snappier. I usually add a short plate reverb on the toms too.
