Does anyone know exectly who or what the "Swamplord" mascot is supposed to be or what the story behind it is?

"Your cd has a very particular front cover, on which a black skin man/creature, with animal arms that walks into a ditch... I suppose it to be the swampworld! What does it represent exactly? Is there any concept behind the figure?
When I and Pekka started to figure out what will be the title of our debut album there was several ideas hunging in the air. Then we started to think about the sources of our inspiration and came up with the swamp. We live in the middle of a swampy scenery, over 60% of the Pudasjärvi`s area is covered by swamp, we like the nature very much. The lord is our inner warrior that keeps us going on. We are Swamplords!"
