sweat blood mixing this vocals!! what´s going wrong? (Rockin melodic hardcore)

I used a quite good/expensive mic with pre included, don´t remember the name and tried different positions.

I think the main mistake was recording them in a bedroom with the mac noise and cars outside... room reverb was very audible when soloed and with music, nice for some parts but uke:.

Anyway, the mixing was hell...So, what effects would you recommend me for this kind of style?? I´m preproducing the next album and I´d like to try different aproach of recording and mixing
