Swedish band Kent

Anyone heard this band? Not too famous outside scandinavia, i presume. Their music is brilliant depressive pop/rock, with a glimpse of hope.

love that band, picked up Vapen and Ammunition after seeing them on Peter's playlist maybe 5+ years ago. that album is excellent, as is Du & Jag Doden. some very catchy tunes on both and some gorgeous melodies too. I hear there's a new one out soon?

I have Isola and Hagnesta Hill as well and they're good but they're more of a sparser, Britpop sound.

amazing that they've never picked up more airplay or attention stateside, they'd appeal to fans of Depeche Mode, Coldplay, (old) Radiohead, etc.

The best album is Isola by far. If you get used to the pop sound it's a strangely sad album with great songwriting into the equation.
