Swedish public radio broadcasts a JESU live concert this evening

Both Jesu releases are fantastic, IMO. And though it might be sacrilege, I find Jesu more pleasing to thy ears than any Godflesh release.

This live performance... is kind of a let-down, honestly. The guitar tone is horrible, even for doom. Not to mention the vocal inconsistency. Although, Jesu is brilliant, so I can't bash them too hard.
 
When I saw them, every kick drum felt like a tennis ball being served directly at the rib cage, and the bass drone was making the floor vibrate. Awesome stuff. To be fair, I thought Broadrick's vocals always sounded like that - vaguely out-of-tune, melancholic droning, like his batteries are just running out but he's still dragging himself painfully to the end of the song...
