neither, jem=overpriced RG. get an RG1570 and put dimarzios in it, and magically, you have a jem without the gay monkey grip. and if you're a faggot, you can add the monkey grip yourself.

for me, definately the Vai.. I got a JEM and I love it.. I played a Satch model twice and I didn't like it that much.

But just try em both and see how you like them
