Sworn To A Great Divide - Soilwork

Why would they put the whole album up on their myspace? Doesn't seem too smart to me. Isn't there ways to record the songs through audacity or some other program? Someone did that with Tie My Rope if I remember correctly.

the new album is terrible, even more bland and boring than stabbing the drama plus with every release they slowly move away from metal, i regret even downloading it. and as for them being the best live act, you clearly haven't seen that many shows, i've seen them twice, once headlining and once opening with hypocrisy and dark tranquillity and both times they were nothing special, solid but nothing amazing. for the record i like all the old albums up to natural born chaos, but everything after that just gets weaker and weaker.

Bands don't make much money selling albums these days you know.

They probably figure that the money they will get selling tickets and merch. to fans they attract with a free album will be greater than the loss for people who don't buy the album and just listen it on myspace.

also exodus at bourbon street but i forgot the date. 38 shows i also stopped archiving shows in 2006 and i've been going to shows about once or twice a month since then. also a lot of your shows are dupicates so you haven't really seen that many bands put on a live show, so i think your idea of who puts on the best live show isn't that great because you haven't been able to compare it to that many others. someone could see cob nowadays and have only seen 3 other shows and think AMG BEST LIVE SHOW EVAR even though thats not true.

I wasn't showing off buddy, like you are, I was just proving you wrong with your statement. You also have 2 years on me, like a bunch of bands I don't and probably have more money than me, I mean half the concerts I've seen/I'm gonna see I got/get into for free. I go to a lot of shows I enjoy and as I said once again IN MY OPINION they were one of the best live shows I've ever seen.

i actually don't consider myself as having been to a ton of shows, i was just showing that when you said, "They are among one of the best live acts I've ever seen, and that is saying a lot."
it sounds like you're saying that you've seen a lot of shows and thus them being the best live act you've seen shows that they are an amazing live band which simply isn't true compared to a lot of others.

A normal person would disagree. Not many people are able to see that many shows.

i was just showing that when you said, "They are among one of the best live acts I've ever seen, and that is saying a lot."

:)

1. I have been to a lot of shows.
2. They are a great live band.

the part that should be emphasized is the and thats saying a lot saying that your opinion is very valid since you have a lot of other expirience seeing other bands to base it off of, which you really don't. i'm not going to keep arguing with you but you haven't been to a lot of shows as much as you may want think you have, some of them are duplicates and you just haven't been going to shows for that long.

Damn some of yous go to alot of shows , I've only been to 2 this year lol, But I guess most of the bands I like hardly go to Australia. (Got Arch Enemy, Machine Head, Behemoth, Maiden soon though!)

Any of you wear ear plugs? I'm honestly thinking of getting some because I'd hate to go deaf and not be able to listen to music anymore.

And yeah listening to the album now, it's not bad. But I kinda miss Peter's kick ass lead playing.
