Sym X... a coverband?

I would not want to hear that -- I like to hear a band play their own compositions. For example, Dream Theater plays covers all the time, and it personally bores me to death.

The one cover that I would want to hear is Dream Theater's "Under a Glass Moon". I think the song is already well-suited to their style and with some additional arrangements would be incredible played by them.

Under A Glass Moon is fantastic by Dream Theater, and would be great under SymX too, although I doubt anyone can play the solo like Petrucci.

Personally I'd LOVE to see them cover Moonlight Sonata (3rd Movement). That would be such an amazing cover.

I'd personally like to hear them interpret something like a Wagner piece. They're so capable of playing hard and thunderous and then busting out with beautifully memorable melodies. I love what Trans-Siberian Orchestra's done in most cases, so I think SX could definitely do something amazing along those lines.

I'd like to hear Symphony X cover some Dragonforce. No, seriously. It would be awesome.

OOPS... too late. They've already incorporated music by other composers. However, I think it'd merely be interesting to hear entire songs. To immediately shoot down the idea on account of what you've experienced with other bands is disappointing to me, though it matters not. At any rate, if Symphony did a cover, would you be at least CURIOUS as to what it sounded like? What song they would do?
