I really cannot understand why so many people think Nightside is superior to Anthems. Both are great, but Anthems is much more intricate, complex and intelligent.

Because most people who make those kind of statements were listening to Hanson when Emperor was around.

I understand and agree with the arguments for both albums- Anthems for its complexity and general epicness, and Nightside for its incredible atmosphere. In fact, when I listen to Emperor I usually listen to those two albums back to back. What I don't understand is why fans of one always have to bash fans of the other. Both are amazing pieces of music that inspired countless imitators.
