I can play it. Try learning the song "Scarified" by RACER-X... that one gave me a run for my money. Took me 3 months to get that one up to speed.

i figured out the chords ! so i can play them slow ! and i can only play te first2 bars but not verry clean. but dude cool you can play them !!racer X is awesome !! i will try to look for that song !!.

Okay, that makes a little more sense.
Yeah, try and learn "Scarified" - Racer X. If you need the tabs/sheet music I can post a link for everyone on here. It is DEFINATELY something every "shredder" has to go through at least once.

i already got the guitar pro tab. shit man, that part at the and !! makes me remind of a hrd lick from sea of lies by symphony x.

Guitar world also had a transcription of it back in the late 80's I belive. The only problem was that version started on the 3rd fret (G) (or F if you were downtuned to D standard). The real version (played by Paul Gilbert and Bruce B.) is in Standard Tuning and starts on the 1st fret (F). Keep that in mind. You may need to TRANSPOSE the versions you see to sound like it does on the record. Best of Luck!

Scarified...*sighs* ah the 80s if you could play this, ShyBoy, Concophony and anything by Vinnie Moore - you were legend in your own palm....even if you worse spandex, white runners and had so much hairspray yer hair was close to velcro lol

The RacerX site got suspended . Any chance we can see the Guitar Pro version of the tab somewhere else? I'm very interested, especially if the tab was created by the actual authors of the piece and shows the 'correct' fingering.

At the moment I'm learning Michael Angelo's 'No Boundaries' but it gets irritating putting in more convenient fingerings on every new part, because the tab author was a total tard.

there are 100000000 of guitar pro tabs on www.mysongbook.com . just type Racer in the search artist and you wil find about 30 tabs. No boundaries is a pretty cool song yeah, i recorded myself playing it last week for the angelo forum. that song is hard

Yes, I have heard of Cacophony. I own both their CD's. I also own all the Racer-X, Marty Friedman CD's, Joey Tafolla, Jason Becker, Paul Gilbert, Michael Lee Firkins, Vinnie Moore, Grege Howe, Tony Mcalpine, Michael (not the Artist) Angelo, etc. If it's 80's/early 90's shred... I have it. LOL!

I'm not a huge fan of Nu-Metal/Metalcore... but if you listen to it, you can definately here elements of 80's shred coming back. I mean, who'd a thought shred WASN'T dead? I will have to agree with the statement made by Marty Friedman during the video "The Essential": "music tends to go in cycles and repeats itself. You had the 60's kind of revival rock. You had the 70's with the disco era. You had the 80's with the revival of rock guitar solo's again..." --looks as if we're seeing a "backlash" once more. This pleases me a great deal.

PS: To all those that asked for a recording of "Scarified"... I should slap you. You should already own Second Heat by Racer-X.
I never did a recording of myself playing it other than on Cassette tape using my 4-track recorder. And, seeing how that I dont have any digital recording stuff, i'll have to wait 'til I get something to post it with. KEEP IT METAL! :Spin:
