hi.
i'm thinking about buying a tascam dm 4800 for live (foh/mon) and studio (tracking/mixing/daw control).
the description of the desk seems to be pretty good, for live and studio. main usage will be for live sound.
anyone ever used this desk? cuz ive got a few questions about that thing.
-can i route the signal which is pick up by the direct out (pre eq/post fader)
-can i pfl/afl the auxbusses (for inear monitoring)
-latency? fast enough for professional iem mixes?
-is there an "send on fader" function like on every yamaha digital
-is the software useable, maybe comparable to studiomanager
-i like the "fat channel"-feature is it good to use?
-is it roadproof, i mean, not that it breaks after 3 shows...
-is it good sounding, especially the a/d d/a conversion
-anything bad or strang about the desk?
-can it rebuilt a mix on powerloss and re-powerup?
thanks!
