Tascam interfaces?

I need something cheap but reliable with a modest (4-6) amount of inputs just for some location recordings. The tascam ones seem to fit the bill perfectly but are there any others that're decent and easy on the wallet?

Needs usb for the laptop, phantom power and 4 or more inputs

i'm a vig fan of tascam interfaces for home recording. before i got an mbox mini i wanted the us-800, but the deal breaker was the ouputs in the air customer service!

US-800. 6 inputs with switchable 48+V.

If you have the cash, I'd rec the US-1800.
8 preamps, 16 inputs, never had a problem with it.

just bought the Us-600, same deal as the 800 but with 4 pre's. I'll report back when I get it
