TASCAM US-100 USB Audio Interface

I'm looking for an inexpensive solution for a client to record guitar and bass DIs with on his own. Will this work? $69 seems like a good deal.

I had the two-channel version (US-122) before upgrading. The preamps were noisy and there was a lot of interference between... well everything. Anything playing through the main outputs was recorded, at a very low volume, onto whatever I was tracking. This was obviously incredibly annoying.

The one-channel version may be better, but don't expect high quality.
