Tascam US-1461, Cubase 5 problems

I'm having problems getting any sound out of it.

I have the right driver, and set the right (or what I think are the right) outputs in the VST connections window. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Please help!
It's so aggravating.

Preferences -> Audio Devices - > Set primary sound card to ASIO, which should bring up your Tascam. Now, I don't know Cubase at all, but I'd assume must DAWs are basically the same in this area.
