tell me about NAD

Only ever met Andrew, Maren and Brandon. All of them decent folk that didn't strike me as fundamentally different from their online persona. Good times were had. As for me, I've been known to gleefully keep to myself IRL, not so much out of shyness, I just generally prefer not to draw too much attention to myself in a multi-way conversation.
are u up for a couple of beers if i ever make it to la france

(i've been seriously considering taking the mrs. with me and taking a roadtrip thru europe this summer if possible considering covid complications, because jesus fucking christ i need to get out of the house)

ofc

fwiw I'll be down in Argelès-Gazost between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6 for mountain hikes (big mountain, like), so if you wanna share a climb THEN beers, let's.

Otherwise we could arrange to meet up somewhere near Clermont-Ferrand pretty much anytime.

awesome

it would probably be earlier than that; late july or early august

i've already talked to alina about meeting up in versailles i think it is she lives, so that would give us a nice little itinerary thru about half of france (never been, i'm looking forward to using my superb french skillz)

thanx. i will be asking for further details in the nearish future if this indeed happens.

Ive met

Cara -Cool af, but really quiet until she boozes
Gugs -Same as forum, thinks he shits roses
Jaykeeley- Sweetheart who doesnt like me.
Jason-Another Sweetheart who doesnt like me
Zod-Dont remember much, he seemed cool
Demilich- Love this dude, also soft spoken
Swizzle- Drives likr an 80yr old woman
Nad- The man, RC's Ric Flair
Krig- Extremely quiet, waa figuring he'd be borderline insane irl
Cthulufagn- Seemed cool, was too blitzed to recall
EricT- Kid came off as a mix between a stoner/skater from the 90s.. I'd reckon he's fairly unstable in the most endearing possible sense.
Dr.Pete (Remember him?) Extremely extremely Strange

Some lesser knowns who are no longer here like DmanxPit and hamie Warbringer (I think that was his name.)

Everyone is cool, but by and large FAR quieter than their online persona. Id self eval myself as exactly as I am on this forum as I am irl. If anything im more reserved on this forum. (Dont want be banned or drive more people away with my ramblings.) :worried:

Ha, wow, that's an interesting experience. I'd imagine some of these people to be different than you described. Except for swizzle of course...
I remember Aurel being super chill and cool, really nice and pleasant to talk to. Tall as fuck too *objectifying going on here*
And Ars Manga - very friendly and fun dude.

oh there's a direct train from Paris
maybe we could all have a little weekend or something if Bertrand doesn't mind my nuclear presence
just a thought
that would be cool

i'm debating whether to make it a roadtrip or try and catch a flight to somewhere and then go by trains/rental cars

the problem with living up north is you have to drive so fucking far just to get into mainland europe and it takes a few days that would be better spent at an interesting destination instead of driving thru the sweden you've already seen a million times

I think flying and then renting/train-ing is better, otherwise you'll be constantly tired of driving and won't enjoy much, especially if you're planing to move around. Did a trip from Ukraine to Austria and then Hungary with my brother who was driving, he just ended up being exhausted all the time.
Transportation in Paris (and Versailles) is very developed, you won't need a car inside the city. Then to go South - there's a 4-5h train. You could rent after that if you go further.

I remember riding to Denmark from France - 15 hours of fun but I wouldn't do it again. Can't imagine driving from Sweden.

yeah you're probably right

i do like the freedom of having a car but also it's kind of really a hassle driving and parking cars in cities

the feasability of this idea all depends a lot on covid policies and plane tickets and a lot of things though, there's a lot of pieces that need to fall int place
