A rollicking affair is offered up by Tesmpestt as they go through a progressive type of music and promise a solid listen because of it. The riffs are magnetic and catch your attention quite well. It has the manners of gripping you to their approach as they go through all of the stages quite well. The performances are quite strong with a solid guitar player in the forefront overall. This leads to a good vibe within the progressive genre as we’re left to ponder how they fit amongst other titans like Queensryche quite well. Well the sound here is a slightly different one in tone, but carries forward a great presence.

The slightly off key nature of the vocalist is highly reminiscent of James LaBrie from Dream Theater, which brings the band down at times in a slightly similar fashion. There’s enough riffs present to bring a solid backbone to the table, however, and Tempestt are able to deliver a solid grouping of them to the audience. A little more ingenuity on the part of the band would have benefitted their sound slightly as it needs a more innovative approach.

We can only wish that the band would have employed some slightly more progressive techniques to bolster their overall sound. There isn’t enough of an interesting manner of playing the material to completely grab the listener and put them into an enjoyable position overall. Regardless, their performances are solid and this is certainly a worthwhile work to check out as a whole.
