Anyone catching this on the news? I've got my music going but I've got my tv on ready for statements and developments. Seven explosions on the underground, including one on a bus. Two people dead and about 90 injured at one location is all that's been confirmed so far. Fucking insane. And we got the Olympics yesterday too, fucking hell

Islamists arrested in France 15 days ago said there would be attacks against England , what was the police doing? (I mean no extra forces were on this , right?)

Well they only got the Olympics yesterday which is a bit of a short timeframe to organise an attack of this scale. More than likely it was planned to coincide with G8

The bizarre thing about a terrorist attack is, you often don't even know who you're harming. Case in point, whose to say that everyone harmed in this attack wasn't against going in to Iraq? For all these extremists know, they killed a fellow extremist, who had something even bigger up his sleeve. It's just all so senseless.

A group calling itself "The Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe" posted a claim of responsibility for the blasts, saying they were in retaliation for Britain's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Did they? When I was watching CNN many of the cops were smiling and joking and most people looked to be calmly going about their day. Stark contrast to 9/11 reactions.
