Those who like TesseracT should love this band (Periphery) as well:



This is fantastic stuff in my opinion.

screamo? hahaha, this is metal. short hair or not, this album is 100% metal. he has a weird voice when singing but i dig it because it's different than most.

I guess we don't hear the same thing in it - Periphery doesn't have anything "screamo" or ""Hot Topic" in it - it's a superb progressive metal band utilizing the "djent" formula of (as you said) very polyrhythmic HEAVY metal.

This has more of a Mercenary sound to it, in my opinion, I like it.

what's wrong with that? FoB are actually pretty damn good in my book. great lyrics, good music, solid hooks. everything a pop band should be. i have all their albums and play them regularly.

plus, their drummer and bassist came from the hardcore scene before FoB started (Kill The Slavemaster, Arma Angelus and Race Traitor). Drummer is actually touring with Earth Crisis and has a new hardcore project.

Apparently you, the one complaining about a band sounding too modern, knows way more about the "modern kid scene" than I do ... I never heard Fall Out Boy.

Guess that speaks volumes for your ability to criticize Periphery for not being "metal" enough, right?
