TestAmenT with Alex Skolnik tomorrow at the Starland...

Just got back...

Testament was fucking amazing, even had Louie Clemente come out from the audience and play Alone in the Dark. Alex Skolnick was incredible, he still can shred with the best of them. Very tight set, crowd was really into it which was awesome. The only complaint was the band that went on right before Testament... what the fuck was that!? A pig mask wearing system of a down/deftones ripoff right before the mighty testament!! what a joke...

Anyway, If anyone gets a chance to see them on this tour i HIGHLY recommend it (plus chuck announced they are working on a new album, sweeeeet!!)

As much as I want to see Testament, Maiden was beyond awesome. The best part is that I missed Bullshit For My Fagentine! By the time I got in the arena (asshole security guards made wouldn't let me bring in my briefcase, so after going all over the place to try and see what to do about it, I hid it behind a bush and got it back in tact), it was only a 5 minute wait till Maiden came on. They played the entire A Matter Of Life And Death album (Bruce ripped up a poster a fan was holding that said "play older songs" during For The Greater Good Of God), they played Fear Of The Dark, Iron Maiden, 2 Minutes To Midnight, The Evil That Men Do and finished off with Hallowed Be Thy Name.

Really looking foward to seeing Maiden tonight in East Rutherford, anyone else going?

The Testament setlist for last night, by the way, was

The Preacher
The New Order
The Haunting
Electric Crown
Practice What You Preach
Burnt Offerings
Souls Of Black
Into The Pit
The Legacy
Over The Wall
Raging Waters
Alone In The Dark
Disciples Of The Watch

What an amazing show it was...as you can see, they were focused on playing a completely oldschool set. As soon as Chuck came out and said they were going back to the oldschool, I went effing crazy. Alex was indeed at his prime, as were Chuck and the rest. I was up front getting the shit beaten out of me by crowdsurfers and my own headbanging. After the show, I met all of the Testament fellas. Alex Skolnick is by far one of the nicest, most humble guitar players I've ever met. The entire experience absolutely made my week.

That's so cool that Lou did a song w/ them. And yeah... writing will commence when the guys get back home. Here's a link to a new interview w/ Eric:
