I thought this would be interesting.
If I could put together a band it would contain:

Russ Anderson - vocals
Steve Harris - bass
Tommy Vetterli - guitar
Chuck Schuldiner (RIP) - guitar
Dave Mustaine - guitar
Gene (god) Hoglan - drums

I was also thinking of how some of my other favorites, who are among the best metal musicians, have played in TestAmenT at one time or another:

Chuck Billy
Alex Skolnik
Steve DiGorgio
Glenn Alvelais
Gene Hoglan
Dave Lombardo

pretty amazing resume and probably the ONLY metal band to boast so much amazing talent in their band!

Anyone else care to share theirs?

Warrel Dane - vox
Steve Digiorgio - bass
Trey Azagthoth - guitar
Jeff Loomis - guitar
Igor Cavalera - drums

If it wasn't metal Les Claypool would be in it.

actually Testament have the line up of my fantasy
especially "low" and "first strike still deadly":D

and also Iron Maiden
and Rainbow with Dio...

and I wanna see some great people with their bands again and forever..
criss oliva, bon scott, chuck shuldiner, poul baloff, randy rhodes..and many more:cry:

rest in peace...

(if there's an other side but there isn't metal there
I'm never gonna go!..)

@testacat

i know what?? :D

Max Cavalera & Andreas Kisser...they were great together, back in Arise & Beneath The Remains..Beneath The Remains is one of my alltime favourites..i love old Sepultura much more than many other thrash bands(including Testament)
and JAmes..i need to mention him because he has recorded the best thrash ever done(my opininon that's for sure) with other Metallica guys..he is a good guitarist..

its better to leave the whole metal business than to write shitty metal..so i respect Dave's choice if he wants to lay to rest and care about a little more with his family..he may be bored, he is in the business since the beginning of the 80's..noone is supposed to write metal music for all his/her life..and even i dont know if i'll be still listening to metal 15-20 years later..
but probably i'll be
:D

:headbang:

ahhh, I never thougth a thing like "risk"
when he said "if there's a new way, I'll be the first in line.."

and I'm sure I'll be on "the old way" even 15-20 years later!
I touched the sky, so I can't live on the ground anymore..
it kills me through..

I have to say that Megadeth went out on top. The new album was the best one since Rust in Peace and the tour was amazing. Dave whipped out some LONG lost classics like Mechanix, Conjuring, Devils Island and Tornado of fucking Souls!
Just hearing these 4 songs was well worth the 4 hour drive to see them in NY...well they did 3 of them in NY, but they played The Conjuring instead of Devils Island in Boston and that was killer too!
