Texas metal bass grind help needed

So a friend of mine bought this pack from Alchemist in hopes of being able to obtain a solid bass tone via midi...I was blown away by some of the mixes people got with it. So when my buddy told he finally made the purchase, I went over and wanted to play with it. Here's our issue...We can't seem to simply audibly match the tunings or notes to the already real tracked guitars. No matter where we lay the midi hit on the scale, it just sounds wrong. We've tried detuning, changing octaves, yet..nothing is working out for us. For those of who use this and have a good understanding of it, what are your methods and or tips you can throw us to make this work.

Havn't actually used Texas, but to me it just sounds like the pre recorded stuff is out of tune. Cory's stuff is probably dead on perfect tuning wise, so if it sounds out of tune against anything you've recorded, chances are that stuff is out...not the midi instrument.

Audio example would be good to suss this out.

That could be...This was just for demo purposes but as far as I remember I retuned every second things sounded a little off after a delay in the session.
