5. Opeth - Blackwater Park
4. Motorhead - Ace of Spades
3. Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power
2. Black Sabbath - Paranoid
1. Slayer - Reign in Blood

There should only be only one album per band. Who cares about a list that's almost half Sabbath and Maiden albums...

Or two versions of the list, one where each band can only have one album listed and another where multiple albums are allowed. Band A's second best album may be better than band B's.

In Flames - The Jester Race
Among the Living
Ride the Lightning
The Black Dahlia Murder - Ritual
Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet
Motley Crue - Shout At the Devil
Dimmu Borgir - Enthrone Darkness Triumphant
Soilwork - Figure no. 5
Mercyful Fate - Don't Break the Oath

These have to feature in the top 20 metal albums of all time

Whether I like 'em or not, I'll at least agree with -
Among the Living
Ride the Lightning
Motley Crue - Shout At the Devil

but
Mercyful Fate - Melissa
is more like it.
