Ok, so I have been on a major 70s kick lately.

Please post some of your favorite 70s jams in this thread:

Never heard of LEAF HOUND, but I like it.
Reminds me of the early PENTAGRAM demos.

DUST are great! Now I have seen this band around, but never heard them.
That album cover is amazing too.
This is one to keep an eye on!

Thanks for playing. I knew you would eventually contribute!

Yeah, I just saw the thread yesterday! Yeah Leafhound has the singer who went on to be in Atomic Rooster (Vincent Crane). Good stuff. Dust's Hard Attack album is really good and you're right, the cover art is great and the reason I checked it out in the first place.

Just discovered this German band. A little more toward the proggy side but I can't stop jamming this album. Really good grooves. Kind of a cross between Grand Funk Railroad, Uriah Heep, Lucifer's Friend and Deep Purple.

What about WINTERHAWK?
This to me is one of our area's diamonds in the rough!
I first learned about them at the first ALEHORN.
They are still kicking it, and recently did a split with Bible of the Devil.
This is a recording from the ARAGON, which was one of their first shows.

That and REVIVAL are on my want list.

Did you see they have a show in the city with Bible in a couple weeks?
I am considering it, though really don't care for BOTD too much.

Just one of those bands where you never know when they might play again.

Yeah I remember seeing that listed somewhere. I'd be interested to see Winterhawk for sure.

I think I've seen the live album carried by Planet Metal before.

Dull? You think a berserk viking screaming about killing Jesus is dull? That song is like Nordic black metal compared to everything else from the '70s. The rest of the album isn't as awesome but is just as good as anything else from the time. I'd definitely take it over Sad Wings of Destiny or Stained Class.
