THE 90s list - another lame challenge...

If you asked metalheads to name the essential Speed/Thrash/Death/Black Metal albums of the 80s you would most certainly get answers like Reign In Blood, Master Of Puppets, Leprosy, Beneath The Remains or Altars Of Madness. It seems that everybody rates pretty much the same bunch the highest from the 80s. I often wonder what albums of the 90s they would probably mention… Is it just me or is this task much more of a puzzler? How come? Are 90s albums simply worse than their predecessors or are there just too many to pinpoint a dozen of real essentials? What would your list look like? I don’t want to force you into a stupid Top 5/10/12/20 or whatever scheme so I’ll leave the amount of nominees up to you. So welcome to the bout! I’ll sit now and think up my own list. I’ll let you know when I’m done…
