I enjoy many high quality dark ales, lagers, porters, and stouts... but only one beer reigns supreme!

Zac, you haven't really lived unless you've had a Guiness in Ireland. It really does taste soooooo much better there!

Oh I know! I need to go to Dublin.
Iam into Guinness collectibles & it's history, so Iam familiar with the different brews & tastes. Guinness actually have a Special Export Stout that is supposed to be one of the best stouts in the world. I believe it's only available in Belgium. Who wants to send me a Guinness sampler from overseas? :D

I've done the Guiness Brewery tour. Waste of time. Well, except for the two free half pints you get at the end!

Never heard of the special export stout. I'll split a case with ya if you can get your hands on some. Or, we can indian knife fight for the whole thing!
:headbang:

My favorite is wheat beer. Every Hefewiezen I've had in Germany has been incredible. Locally we have some great wheat beers here in Colorado.

I also like white beer. Hoegaarten is excellent.

Lambic beer like Lindemans Kriek is good but very expensive.

I agree with the comment that Guinness is better in Europe. It's great here, but outstanding over there.

Aren't the Lambic beers supposed to be incredibly sour?
I remember a friend telling me the aftertaste was pretty harsh...I don't know, maybe he had a poor brew.

How the hell did i miss this thread?!?!
:D i love beer!

My fav is Carlsberg and expecially ELEPHANT one. But i appreciate many more... My fav Italian one (only italian beer that is good to be true) is Menabrea!
