There were some talks about it back in the day, though I'd doubt it had anything to do with the Yuuzhan Vong.

The thing is, the story there is so good that Lucas could only do a worse job . I mean, the revelation on the Leviathan is the best twist since "No Luke, I am your father!"
I'm just waiting for the comics of the same name to finally introduce Revan in full! They've already introduced Malak a couple issues back.

Ugh, have you read the Jedi vs. Sith comic? Worst comic I've ever read. The drawing looks like it came outta some shitty manga, and it seems like the writers have no conception of the Star Wars universe. It's like they took some 3rd rate Lord of the Rings knockoff story, gave a few guys lightsabers and then threw in some mentions of the force. One of the Jedi appears to be an Elf who travels in a flying pirate ship.
