Just a Q. I think Too fast for love and shout at the the Devil are classic metal/Rock albums and demand respect any thoughts?

Both those albums can definitely be classified as Metal. I enjoy Shout at the Devil, and a handful of tracks on Too Fast For Love.

TOO FAST and SHOUT are among my favorite albums of all time! Great albums and I would definitely call SHOUT metal...if not Too Fast...although Livewire was full on metal, a lot of Too Fast is more "poppy" in my opinion...still great though.

Shout is Metal.. everything else hard rock.... but i never respected them especially Vince lately... and well Tommy is just a plain asshole lol though i like his drumming... I think the only one i respected was Mick...

Those are the only two Crue albums I still listen to on a fairly regular basis. So I'd have to agree, they are both Classic albums, whether you call 'em metal or hard rock.

I think I have mentioned that Mick Mars is an idol of mine. He is pretty much the exception to the rule in the fact that technical ability is somewhat high on my list of prerequisits for my fave guitarists and Mick is pretty much below average in that category, but Mick is the Udo or Ozzy of guitar. The guy sounds like no one else. He is the most instantly recognizable guitarist I have ever heard and that is important to me.

, but the line is pretty gray between hard rock and metal so .....

"Gray", is that somewhere between "Grey" and "Gay" :D
Hehe, just jokin' guys , really !!!!!!!!! I do like some of the old Crue stuff, as mentioned before, I sometimes need some simple forward RNR to play in the car, no better way to forget all the troubles around...drivin a nice car, sunny weather and some RNR !!! :headbang:

I remember when Too Fast was reveiwed in Hit Parader and the reviewer said that their music was "loud enough to rip the plaster off your walls"! That was enough for me to pick it up when it was first released and I still listen to it regularly. Its my favorite of thier entire catalog. :headbang: I also have a bootleg copy of thier Leathur Records Release which is much more raw and includes different tracks.

I wore through 2 cassette copies of TFFL, that album was the best ever! (I was 16yrs old then) It was a tough few years for them, they came out so hard and leather, then all around was glam and lipstick, so they put on glam and lipstick, then it was all leather and chains, then back to pink and leopard print..... Even though their label or themselves couldn't figure out what image they wanted TFFL and Shout are the best MC releases IMO.
