The songs were good, the singing didn't bother me (a common complaint) and I dug the hell out of the tongue in cheek is-it-really-a-joke-or-isn't-it vibe.
That stated, while I wasn't over impressed with the first song/video from the new one, I will pick it up (I didn't realize it was out yet). It's pretty much at the bottom of my CD priority list though, so I'll wait for an used copy. I'd be interested in hearing opinions on it too.
The thing about them I like the most (outside of the really pretty darn good songs) is that real edgy strange comedy about it. I mean, it's too good to be a put on, but it's just goofy enough to be one. They are the Andy Kauffman of rock, and that suits me fine in the strangest way.

And the best part is, the singer is so unintelligible that they don't have to bleep the choruses when they play them on tv or radio (Get your hands off of my woman, mother fucker!).
I really liked that first Darkness album, but it did wear thin for me quickly. I'd say by about the tenth listen, I was getting bored. It's pure ear candy. Like gum, it's sweet for awhile, but after that it's like chewing a cud. I don't have any intentions of buying the second one, but I might think about it if I found it used somewhere. I'm also interested in reviews/opinions of it...I doubt they can match the song quality they produced on the first one.

Same for me, I guess it has to do with the vocalist...Pabla said:Sorry... I am not ashamed of some of the music I like.... but defo not a fan of this band
Right. You get it. Not everyone does. I think even if they were inside the box, people would fault them for something...DumbAss said:It's a great album. Rockier than thier first one.
