THE EMBODIED from Sweden with their self-titled debut are the next release on our sub-label Pure Legend Records and this time it’s in a more modern direction. Before this, the quintet from Jönköping had released a demo-EP („Relativity Fade“, 2006) and a single („Chapter One“, 2008) on their own.

The ten songs are offering an innovative mixture of Melodic, classic Heavy and Death Metal with permanent used, expressive clean-vocals (growl-parts are only used very slightly in the background).. Songs like the more mid-speed tune “Born From Shadows” show that the band is able to move safely in calmer waters, while the guitar-riffs on “Flawless” are causing comparisons to At The Gates and old In Flames. “The Embodied” was produced together with Ex-King Diamond-guitarist Andy La Rocque in Sonic Train Studios. He also recorded a solo for the song “Heaven Burns Tonight”.

THE EMBODIED published the official video to the song "Born From Shadows". The band states: "Watch in HD for full experience! Thanks to all our fans and friends who support us! We are you embodied."

"Born From Shadows" is taken from the self-titled debut album. Release date was October 28, 2012 under the flag of PURE LEGEND RECORDS/PURE STEEL RECORDS. The album was produced by legend Andy LaRoque (KING DIAMOND) and the band @ Sonic Train Studios, Sweden.

THE EMBODIED "Ravengod" - Cover, Tracklist, releasedate: 15th July 2016

The release date of the THE EMBODIED album „Ravengod“ on CD is July 15th, 2016. The pre-order phase will start on July 01st, 2016 in our webshop.

Back in 2011, THE EMBODIED, from Sweden, released its self-titled debut album through Pure Legend Records. Now they are back with the brand new title Ravengod.

Here is what the guitarist, Jon Mortensen, had to say regarding this new album: “THE EMBODIED returns with a second album of fast riffing guitars and thundering drums. Following the well-received debut album and intensive touring, the new opus will reveal the band’s potential even more. It’s more of everything – heavy riffs, melodies and fast-paced drums. These eleven tracks tell a story only to be found and interpreted by the listener. They express a wide range of influences from all genres of Metal: Power, Death, Heavy and also the Scandinavian Folk music. Stay Metal and be THE EMBODIED!".
