Mac user here, but must say PC's are fine too if properly configured

That comment I will never understand.....configured how?......what has to be done special?.....I have never had to "configure" anything.....nothing more then I would on my mac.....to me it is such a myth that people do not even bother to learn the truth.....

The whole PC or MAC debate is utter bullshit. I have both a G5 dual2 and P4 pc and they're both same. Apple just have this whole brand nonsense which the world buys into like sheep - SUCKERS

End of the day they're tools to help you earn money

It all comes down to the operating system, and I'm sorry, Mac OS X is not "the same" as Windows. I don't think there's anyone here who would try to argue that Windows is a better operating system. Mac OS X is clearly years ahead of where Windows is, even Microsoft knows this.

And when it comes to hardware, nobody makes things that work seamlessly together as well as Apple. Studies have shown that Mac-run businesses are cheaper to operate over time (due to overall platform stability and ease of use), and I'm sure this would affect recording studios just as much (if not more so) than any other type of business.

I'm not an eliteist, and I'm not a blind supporter of Apple. In fact, I work as a Windows software developer. But there are only Macs in my home and rehearsal studio. :)

Besides, MAC and PC will be the same shit in about 2 years time. and rumor has it that you can actually boot Windows on a Intel based Mac.
There was a public bet on it, where people donated money on the purse which would've been handed to the first person getting it to work.

It was later on during the campaign deemed impossible and the money was donated into charity.

Amazing how easily things go Mac x PC in this forum. :)

All I want to do is make sure people get their facts straight. Anytime somebody comes in here with misinformed views I'm going to call them on it. This forum has been a great learning resource for me because of the dilligence of other posters here to do the same, so I'd like to return the favor as much as possible.

I guess it comes down to which application you are using for audio. If you're running cubase (which I'm not very familiar with) I guess it runs smooth on a PC straight out of the box. But if you're running pro tools, it really make a difference when you disable/enable certain options in windows and in the BIOS.

And for the record, I'd never change Windows for OSX, which I absolutely love.
