The first Down album.

YES it has. I totally dispute my own review on the second Down album, because now it totally moves me. All the shit I hated about it for about a year I look back and think "what the fuck were you thinking, PUTZ!??!"

Best thing Phil has ever done. Their last tour was excellent; they had a Neurosis-like film set up going on. Its a shame he doesnt go back to doing Down, and forgets about the mediocre Superjoint Ritual.

ah but Down can be both hatefilled and somber; whereas Superjoint is just going to be so superficial. Unless you havent noticed I think Superjoint is crap and a waste of time.

To each his own, and no, I don't think of hate when I think of Down, I think of beer drinking, dope smoking redneck hippies.

I have witnessed Superjoint live in the most intimate of settings, they are power.

Perhaps my opinion will change if I see them live. Whatever happened to his black metal project? Didnt he have a black metal band going some time ago?

Eibon is the "Black" Metal project he is working on. It has been on hold for over 4 years due to the various members other bands touring, albums, etc. They have half an album recorded apparently. Anselmo- vocals, Killjoy (Nerophagia)-bass, Fenriz (Darkthrone)- Drums, Satyr (Satyricon)- Guitars.

I'm not crazy about Superjoint. The first album was fairly good, but didn't blow me away. The second is pretty bad. Down on the other hand absolutely floors me--both fucking albums.
