I enjoy seeing how butt obsessions can differ with older generations. One time I heard my dad mocking his girlfriend about having a big butt and he was slightly disgusted by the notion of a big butt.
My dad is definitely of that 1980's white guy stereotype that likes big tits and an ass you could use as a pool table. I actually wonder if, as racism has slowly eroded from everyday life, the big butt has become less of a stigma.
I remember in high school the girls I knew were obsessed with losing their butt weight too.
Thank the gods that the pendulum has shifted. The big butt stigma certainly was not the norm historically, as Victorian erotica can attest:
