This is a fantastic film, a fantastic true story as well. I just love evry part of it, even the compassion and sadness shown by Von Luger (the POW camp commander dude) when the 50 are shot.

And watching Sir Richard Attenborough run is just really, really funny.

An excellent movie, indeed. Albeit, there is some "hammy" overacting at times. Steve McQueen's character was cool. The film is very entertaining and worth viewing.
 
I've never seen it.

It's kind of like how I've never seen Gone With the Wind, and it's supposed to be this great film that everyone should see. And kind of like how I don't like Ozzy's music, and he's supposed to be the "father" of metal .

I don't know why, but I never like those cultural icons.
